I just love the food hall culture of Houston. Finn food hall was located directly across the street from where I was staying, JW Marriott Downtown. There were a variety of spots to choose from. The space was clean and had ample seating. We decided to try the Cranky Carrot one evening and then again on the morning of our departure. The employee was nice and helpful. Our smoothies were made from fresh ingredients. No artificial Smoothie King stuff. I had the Berry Beauty with added coconut whip swirl and honey. This was refreshing and delicious. My daughter enjoyed her Muscle Colada and my husband enjoyed his Recharge with added coconut whip swirl. I’d definitely recommend and return to this company.

Their smoothies are sooo good! Today’s visit was because I had an experience at another place in the food hall. They employees here are awesome. I told her I was pregnant asked if they could make me a custom smoothie with pregnancy friendly ingredients. She shared the types of liquid base they could do and made suggestions on add-ins. I got a strawberry banana smoothie with coconut water, yogurt, whey protein, and dates. It’s so good! Before I was pregnant my go-to was the Heart Beet, so good even you don’t like beets! Thank you downtown team for your customer service and patience!!

When I found out about Cranky Carrot it was like a dream coming through because in Houston is really hard to find GOOD protein shakes. The shakes were really delicious and consistent all the time. These past few months it has been really off to the point that I NEEDED to do a review. I’m writing it as a sip a watery and some how still chunky cafe com hielo protein shake and it is the third time this week that I get a really bad shake and I’m over it. The consistent and quality went extremely down after they opened the second location and that is for sure my last time going.

Best place in Houston, best avocado toast I have had, organic, local and high quality ingredients. So many amazing toasts to pick from, organic juice and shots. A must when in Houston, I went every day for breakfast there. It’s inside a food hall so there is a coffee stand as well. Support amazing local businesses like this. I wish there was cranky carrot where I live.

giving the food 3 stars overall - we got the buffalo chicken and firecracker wraps and they were good but we probably wouldn’t get them again for $17 each. I got the matcha smoothie and my friend got the island vibes bowl. The kiwi in her bowl and the smoothie just lacked flavor. Service was fine it was just really slow considering were were the only people ordering on a Sunday afternoon. I would recommend other people try this place out for themselves but I probably wouldn’t chose this over any other healthy food places or smoothie places i’ve tried in Houston!
